General Information and Schedule

The Crested Butte Arts Festival, Crested Butte’s signature cultural event and one of Colorado’s Top 5 fine art and fine craft shows, will celebrate its 38th year on July 31st and August 1st, 2010. The Festival features 185 well-known, established artists from around the world and is recognized as a top-quality, juried show.

Nestled high in the Rocky Mountains, Crested Butte provides a picturesque backdrop for this cultural extravaganza, which is staged on historic Elk Avenue. Crested Butte is home to a wide selection of fine dining establishments, eclectic shops and boutiques, outdoor stores, and unique galleries - all within walking distance of the Festival.

Musical entertainment on the Ragged Mountain Stage, delectable fare from the Culinary Court, live chef and artist demonstrations, and children’s activities in Art Alley make the weekend a memorable experience for people of all ages and all walks of life.

The 2010 Festival will be the biggest and best yet!


2010 Crested Butte Arts Festival General Information


DATES: Saturday, July 31, and Sunday, August 1, 2010

TIMES: 10 am - 5 pm Saturday and Sunday

WHERE: Elk Avenue in Downtown Crested Butte, a National Historic District

ADMISSION: Free

PARKING: Free – public lots located at the 4 Way Stop at 6th and Elk; North end of Elk Avenue at 1st Street

DISABLED ACCESS: Handicapped parking areas will be designated on both ends of the Festival as well as on nearby cross streets. If you have specific needs, please Contact Us.

FIRST AID: General first aid supplies are located within the Festival grounds at 3rd and Elk.

LOST AND FOUND: Lost and Found are located within the Festival grounds at 3rd and Elk.

INFORMATION AND FESTIVAL STORE: Please visit the Crested Butte Arts Festival booth on the SW corner of 3rd and Elk.

RESTROOMS: Public restrooms and portable facilities are located throughout the Festival grounds, near the Fire Hall at the Culinary Court, and at the Chamber of Commerce next to the public parking lot.

The Crested Butte Arts Festival (CBAF) is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation of the arts in and around Crested Butte. The mission of the CBAF is to encourage and promote the artistic and cultural environment of the Upper East River Valley. In addition to our annual arts festival, the CBAF supports other arts organizations in the community in the form of modest art grants and through collaboration and partnerships.
